Sketch Block, KL Says Goodbye
The Striker Stage:
630pm – Nerds on Fire. We’ve been writing jokes from the inside of a locker since freshman year and, boy, has time made us SEXY. We’re coming at you for a night of broken glasses and broken dreams. And maybe some sketch comedy! We just have to check with our moms first. Nerds On Fire: because our educations are rife for parody.
11pm – Business Computer is a sketch comedy group that will break your heart and kill you. A sketch group interested in the elasticity of what a sketch can be, Business Computer strives to be original and challenging, by applying their love of surreal, evocative comedy to the gravitas of live theater. They do this because they have no choice but to, because it is as it has always been, and as it shall be forever more, until the universe expands into entropy, and softly dies, Amen.
6pm – PulpRiot is a live performance and video production and promotion company operated by Chris Aurilio and Anik Sood. We put together comedy and variety shows, short plays, web videos, web series, and any other creative pursuit we can put our idle hands to.
830pm – Buzz Off, Lucille is an all-female sketch group who performs live and produces videos. They’re a comedic cocktail that rocks your nights and wrecks your mornings. They’re two parts unpredictability, one part moxie, with a hint of lime. They like to heighten the game in a way that you have no idea what’s coming next. Their fast-paced and fly- by-the-seat-of-your-pants show, Fuck Judy Towers was at Sketchfest last year and continued on to get a 6 month run at UCB. Their video content has been featured on The Huffington Post, Jest, and The Daily What.
