Sketch Block, KL Says Goodbye
The Captains of Industry spent the last several months as walks on for the Cleveland Browns, before being cut. After which they went on a world wide press tour for the movie “Bridge of Spies,” which all three were featured in. (sadly their scenes was cut when Tom Hanks overheard Dave Elmy make a disparaging remark.) Financially things turned prosperous on one of Paul Valenti’s Atlantic City casino jaunts when he hit the super jackpot. Soon after they used their earnings in a land agreement with a certain H.K. Caldwell. After much unpleasantness over the terms, the trio took a brief hiatus from creative endeavors to sort out legal matters. To complicate the situation, Caldwell disappeared and the “Captains” were put on trial, accused of murder. Fortunately, they were found innocent, after Caldwell was later found to be alive. They are pleased to return to sketch block with a set of pieces they wrote Mad Libs style. Except for Rob Asaro, he died in November.
Don’t miss the funny, this Wednesday at Under St. Marks Theater.
