Sketch Block, KL Says Goodbye
AMY BUCHWALD a Sarah Lawrence graduate, began her training at the nationally renowned Minneapolis CTC. an Equity professional since 16, she continued as an actor at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Circle In The Square, Second City, Shakespeare LA. Amy wrote, produced and directed the comedy variety TV series, Loons, for the Minneapolis CBS affiliate; a contributing member at The Playwright’s Center and The Women’s Theater Project; she wrote, produced, starred in the one-woman, critically acclaimed, Glenda, from the Heart, featured on PBS, The national cable channel (CVN) show, Over Night centered around the Glenda characters. In 2013 her musical about domestic violence, Candy Hearts, received a standing ovation off-broadway at St. Luke’s Theater. As a comic she has been likened to Andy Kaufman and has elicited numerous “WTFs?” while on stage.
